POLICE OFFICER

POLICE OFFICER: Applicants must be at least 21 years old, in good physical health, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D, valid Virginia driver’s license, and be able to deal well with the public. Position is responsible for the enforcement of State and local laws; patrols the Town; answers complaints and conducts investigations. Virginia law enforcement certification preferred. Career salary range $44,641to $71,426, excellent benefits. Town of Warrenton Employment Application is required. MOTOR POOL

CHIEF EQUIPMENT MECHANIC/MAINTENANCE MANAGER:
The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications for a Chief Equipment Mechanic/Maintenance Manager. This is a working supervisor position responsible for the maintenance and management of the Town’s equipment/vehicle fleet. Duties include inspecting, overseeing, supervising, maintaining, and repairing automotive and construction equipment; troubleshooting problems; purchasing needed parts and materials; maintaining inventory; maintaining files and records. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Public Works Superintendent. Must possess a valid Virginia Commercial Driver’s license and a Virginia Vehicle Safety Inspector license. Town of Warrenton application is required and may be downloaded from www.warrentonva.gov Salary range is $49,217 - $78,748 (starting salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications); excellent benefits. MECHANIC:
The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications for an Equipment Mechanic. Position is responsible for maintaining and repairing automotive, construction and specialized equipment. Must have thorough knowledge of the methods, tools and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of passenger cars. Knowledge of small engine repair in addition to experience with computer diagnosis and troubleshooting abilities. Must possess a valid Virginia commercial driver’s license. Applicant should have or be able to obtain Virginia vehicle inspection license.  Starting salary is $40,491. Closing date:  Open until filled.

WATER TREATMENT PLANT

PART-TIME OPERATOR:
The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications for a Part-time Water Treatment Plant Operator / Maintenance Worker for evening shift (4:00 PM to Midnight), holidays and weekends to perform responsible unskilled and semi-skilled work operating and maintaining a water treatment plant. Virginia Class IV Water Treatment Plant Operator's license required, but willing to train a potential applicant. Mechanical experience/aptitude is a plus. Salary commensurate with experience. Closing date:  Open until filled.

 

PARKS AND RECREATION

PARKS LABORER:
Part-time Parks Laborer needed for the Parks and Recreation Department to perform maintenance work and operate light and medium-sized power equipment in a variety of locations.  Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license; driving record and criminal background check required prior to hiring.  $9.00 per hour, approximately 25 hours per week.  Closing date:  Open until filled.
LIFEGUARDS:  
The WARF is hiring for year-round part-time lifeguard positions.  Early morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts available.  Starting rate is $9.00 per hour.  Certification classes will be offered in December 2015 and March 2016.  Please call the WARF for more information at 540-349-2520.

YOGA INSTRUCTOR:
The WARF is looking for responsible yoga instructors to conduct safe, effective and enjoyable mind/body classes by providing excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction, and superb motivation.  Share your passion for yoga and grow your teaching skills in an established, multi-disciplinary wellness facility with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and a dedicated team of teachers and staff.  Applicants must have a nationally recognized certification and minimum 1 year teaching experience.
FITNESS INSTRUCTOR: 
The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications from nationally certified Fitness Instructors for the Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility to teach a variety of fitness classes such as cycle, Pilates, ZumbaTM, yoga and water and land aerobics. Must be CPR and First Aid certified and able to interact with a wide variety of personalities. Hourly rate $15.00 - $25.00 per hour DOQ.

VOLUNTEER:
Receive a free WARF membership by volunteering in our child care center or by volunteering for maintenance duties for as little as 2 hours per week. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Background check required.

Facility Attendant II - Front Desk Attendant

Do you enjoy working with people and working in a community oriented environment?  The WARF is now hiring for a front desk attendant.  Applicant must be available at least 10-20 hours per week and must be able to work some weekends and special events.  Applicant must be 18 years or older. Applicant must have some customer service experience and have some computer skills.

Job duties include:

  • answering telephones
  • greeting members and guests
  • providing information about our facility and answering questions about our facility
  • handling a cash drawer
  • being a birthday party host/ess
  • using POS to take payments
  • Selling the Services the WARF has to offer
