PARKS & RECREATION
FITNESS INSTRUCTOR:
 
The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications from nationally certified Fitness Instructors for the Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility to teach a variety of fitness classes such as cycle, Pilates, ZumbaTM, yoga and water and land aerobics. Must be CPR and First Aid certified and able to interact with a wide variety of personalities.  Hourly rate $15.00 - $25.00 per hour DOQ.

VOLUNTEER: 

Receive a free WARF membership by volunteering in our child care center or by volunteering for maintenance duties for as little as 2 hours per week. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Background check required.

PLANNING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

PLANNER:

 

The Town of Warrenton is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Planner to perform responsible technical and professional work in the areas of Planning, Zoning and Erosion and Sediment Control coordination.  Planning activities account for approximately 80% of position, including review of site and subdivision plans, special use permits and rezoning applications.  Assists the Director with historic preservation program, preliminary zoning review, grant preparation and administration, assessment and organization of development review applications.  Requires effective public relations skills and a team-oriented mind-set.  A combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with major course work in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Historic Preservation or related field.  Starting salary is $42,453.  Town of Warrenton application required.

POLICE DEPARTMENT

DEPUTY CHIEF OF POLICE:

Exercises command over operational and administrative activities of the Department.  Requires thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations relating to law enforcement administration; thorough knowledge of operational rules and regulations; ability to deal with the public fimly and tactfully; ability to analyze complex police problems and to adopt quick and effective, reasonable courses of action; skill in the use of firearms and operation of a motor vehicle.  Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.  Extensive experience in police administration, including considerable supervisory experience.  Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License. Starting salary is $62,722 (may be higher depending on qualifications); excellect benefits.  Town of Warrenton application and a resume are required.

PUBLIC WORKS

MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II:

Operates medium to heavy trucks and equipment in the construction, repair and maintenance of streets, utilities, waste disposal, snow removal, mowing operations and related facilities and systems.  Must possess a valid Virginia Commercial Driver's License; copy of current DMV driving record is required at interview.  Starting salary is $33,263.
