The Town is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Police Officer. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, in good physical health, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D, valid Virginia driver’s license, and be able to deal well with the public. Position is responsible for the enforcement of State and local laws; patrols the Town; answers complaints and conducts investigations. Virginia law enforcement certification preferred. Starting salary $44,641, excellent benefits. Town of Warrenton Employment Application is required.

The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications for a Senior Planner in the Department of Community Development.  Performs intermediate professional and responsible administrative work coordinating a variety of planning functions, including overseeing and preparation of updates/revisions to the Comprehensive Plan; reviewing applications for conformance with Zoning/Subdivision Ordinance, and Comprehensive Plan, and other Town policies and regulations; assisting with enforcement of Zoning Ordinance; providing technical assistance; coordinating review of and reviewing land development applications; researches and compiles demographic and statistical data; analyzes data; identifies trends; prepares reports; performs technical review of subdivision and/or site plans. Does related work as required.  Hiring range is $59,824 to $77,771.  Excellent benefits.

The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications for an Account Clerk. The position is primarily responsible for processing biweekly payroll, preparing quarterly payroll tax returns, reconciliations, and related journal entries.  Assists with other skilled clerical duties in the department. Starting salary:  $34,978; negotiable depending on qualifications.

The Town is accepting applications for a part-time Parks Laborer to perform maintenance work and operate lift and medium-sized power equipment in a variety of locations.  Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license; driving record and criminal background check required prior to hiring.  Starting rate is $9.00 per hour, 29 hours per week.

The WARF is hiring for year-round part-time lifeguard positions.  Early morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts available.  Starting rate is $9.00 per hour.  Certification classes will be offered in August - click here for more information regarding class times and fee.

The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications from nationally certified Fitness Instructors for the Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility to teach a variety of fitness classes such as cycle, Pilates, ZumbaTM, yoga and water and land aerobics. Must be CPR and First Aid certified and able to interact with a wide variety of personalities. Hourly rate $15.00 - $25.00 per hour DOQ.

The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications for the position of Motor Equipment Operator I in the Public Works Department to operate light to medium weight trucks and equipment in the construction, repair and maintenance of streets, utilities, waste disposal, snow removal, mowing operations and related facilities and systems; must possess a valid Virginia Commercial Driver's License; copy of current DMV driving record is required at interview; starting salary $30,170; excellent benefits.

Individual will be responsible for the continuing development and implementation of the Town’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) program to comply with the regulatory requirements.  The MS4 program involves community outreach, education, coordination with town staff and the development of projects with budgets to meet goals and objectives.  Verbal/written communications skills, ability to interpret regulations, two years of college or equivalent, and office skills are required.  Stormwater management experience and ability to understand site development plans is a plus.  Hours can be flexible, but not to exceed 29 hours in a week, $20-25 per hour depending on qualifications.
