 Parks & Recreation Minimize

The Town of Warrenton has 4 parks that are operated by the Town of Warrenton Parks and Recreation Department. In addition to managing the parks, the Parks & Recreation Department also handles the reservation processes associated with the pavillion rentals at Eva Walker and Rady Parks (see below). 

Academy Hill Park

The park features a baseball field and paved parking lot.

Eva Walker Park
Alexandria Pike and Haiti Street
One of the town's largest green spaces, the park features playground equipment, picnic facilities and a basketball court.

Rady Park
Fauquier Road
The seven acre park has a paved trail for bike riding, roller-blading or jogging. Its terrain is partially wooded, but also has baseball and volleyball fields, picnic facilities, playground equipment and a paved parking lot.

     

Sports at Rady Park!

UK Petite Soccer Ages 3-5 year olds. The curriculum is built on a Games Based approach to teaching soccer within a fun learning, maximum activity envi­ronment. Activities are fantasy-based, involving role-playing, and are designed to maximize the number of touches each play­er has on the ball with their feet! Each child receives tuition in a small group setting from one of U.K. Elite Soccer’s professional British coaches. Parents are welcome to stay and join in the fun! Gold Cup Park
Located off Gold Cup Drive. Gold Cup park features playground equipment and a swing set.


Rental Requests for park pavilions can be made in the following time slots:

  • 1 Half Day: 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. -or- 2:30 p.m. - dusk -- Cost $55.00
  • 1 Full Day: 7:30 a.m. - dusk -- Cost $80.00
  • Note: Reservation time slots cannot be modified for requests that cross half day time slots, a full day rental is required. (ex: an event from noon - 4:00 p.m. would require a full day reservation because the start and end times are in two different half day time slots)

The reservation process requires the applicant to complete a Town of Warrenton Parks and Recreation Facility Use/Event Application and provide a check for payment at the time of submission. Forms may be mailed to the TOW Parks and Recreation Department at 800 Waterloo Road, Warrenton, Va. 20186 or delivered to the WARF Front Desk. (Note: Reservation requests cannot be accepted over the phone and credit card payments are not currently available.) Applicants should receive a response to their application within 5 business days.


Warrenton Branch Greenway
Trailhead is at S. Fourth Street
The 1.25 mile paved trail is available for walking, biking, skating and skateboarding. The park also features a renovated caboose, which is available for tours on a limited schedule. Located in the Town of Warrenton and operated by the Fauquier County Department of Parks and Recreation.
