Notice Concerning Lawn Irrigation Systems

Be aware of the law concerning the installation and maintenance of in-ground lawn irrigation systems.

The Town of Warrenton strictly enforces the Virginia Waterworks Regulations and EPA Backflow Prevention Laws, which regulate code requirements for homes and businesses served by Town water.

Before allowing a contractor to install a lawn irrigation system, contact the Town of Warrenton’s Cross-Connection Control Official at 540-347-1101.  Improperly installed irrigation systems could lead to water service termination.

If you have already installed an in-ground lawn irrigation system, please contact the Town of Warrenton to schedule an inspection for compliance.
