Only faulty service lines will be considered for adjustments. A “service line” is defined as the water line running from the water meter to the house. See illustration below:

Upon review of a letter of request to the Town of Warrenton, the Town Manager may adjust a water bill where a leak has developed underground on a customer's service line.

This policy does not include irrigation systems, toilets, hot water tanks or any other plumbing inside or outside the house.

A field check will be made to verify that the leak was repaired and to obtain the current meter reading.
