Water and Sewer Rates Adopted - Effective January 1, 2016 Minimize

In 2015, the Town of Warrenton engaged Municipal & Financial Services Group (MFSG) to conduct a Water and Sewer Rate Study and recommend potential changes to the structure and rates. On September 8, 2015, MFSG presented the results of their study to the Warrenton Town Council, along with three alternatives. In October, Council requested that the new Town Manager, Brannon Godfrey, review the alternatives and consider debt financing of capital projects to reduce the impact of any rate increase to citizens and businesses. Mr. Godfrey consulted with financial advisors Davenport and Company and presented his plan for the water and sewer rate implementation at the December 3, 2015 Council Work Session.

At the December 8, 2015 Council Meeting, the Town Council adopted the recommended rates with an effective date of January 1, 2016.  The calculator provided here will assist citizens and businesses with determining how their monthly bill will be impacted. The calculator shows what a current user’s bill is and what their bill will be as of January 1st.
