INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER (FULL TIME):
The Town of Warrenton is accepting applications for an Information Technology Manager to provide project management, infrastructure and operational support to the Town's network system and users.  Oversees and coordinates activities with subcontractors, diagnoses and troubleshoots network or communication problems and provides help desk problem solution assistance. The candidate will perform responsible, technical and highly technical network administrative work in the implementation and support of the Town’s network infrastructure, analyzes needs and assists in the design, development and testing of computer systems and programs. Must have thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of IT technologies and ability to train and provide support to users. POLICE DEPARTMENT

POLICE OFFICER (FULL TIME):
The Town of Warrenton is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Police Officer. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, in good physical health, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D, valid Virginia driver’s license, and be able to deal well with the public. Position is responsible for the enforcement of State and local laws; patrols the Town; answers complaints and conducts investigations.  Career salary range $44,641 to $71,426, excellent benefits. PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER  (PART-TIME):
This is a part time position limited to 29 hours per week. The Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) will perform non-sworn law enforcement tasks. Tasks include report writing, traffic control/ parking enforcement and various administrative tasks. The PEO DOES NOT have powers of arrest and is unarmed. Must have thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures & equipment, including computers.  Must have ability to interact with a variety of individuals and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must maintain composure during stressful situations and maintain confidentiality of information. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, good physical health, possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid Virginia Operator’s license. Salary range is $18-$22 per hour. PUBLIC UTILITIES

MAINTENANCE WORKER (FULL-TIME):
Needed for the Town’s Public Utility Department, Transmission & Distribution Section to perform semi-skilled maintenance work and operate light and medium-sized construction and power equipment on a variety of construction, maintenance and repair projects related to water sewer lines/services. At times operate Town vehicles. Must possess a Virginia's CDL driver's license or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.  Utility work experience a plus. Starting salary: $33,312; excellent benefits.  Town of Warrenton Employment Application is required. Open until filled. EOE.

METER READER (FULL-TIME):
For the Public Utilities Department, performing intermediate semi-skilled work; reading and recording usage of meters, performed under moderate supervision of Meter Supervisor. Required to assist with field work; initiating and terminating service; preparing and maintaining files and records. Performs preventive maintenance on meters and repairs and/or replaces broken or defective parts; installs new meters; tests meters to ensure they are functioning properly. General knowledge of the geography and street locations of the Town and location of water meters; some knowledge of data entry, basic arithmetic and the methods and procedures for reading meters and recording consumption data. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and minimal experience reading and repairing water meters. Must possess a valid Virginia's driver's license; driving record required at interview.  Starting salary: $28,776, excellent benefits. Town of Warrenton Employment Application is required. WATER TREATMENT PLANT

PLANT OPERATOR (PART-TIME):

Part Time Water Treatment Plant Operator for the evening shift at the Town of Warrenton's Water Treatment Plant to perform responsible unskilled and semi-skilled work operating a Class 2 water treatment plant. This position requires rotating weekends and Holidays. Legible handwriting required.  Must possess a valid Virginia's driver's license; proof required before interview. Starting salary dependent on license; willing to consider a trainee. A Town of Warrenton application is required. Open until filled. 

PARKS
AND RECREATION

LIFEGUARD (PART-TIME):
The WARF is hiring for year-round part-time lifeguard positions. Early morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts available. Starting rate is $10.00 per hour.  Certification classes are offered periodically - contact the WARF for more information on the next class.  Ongoing recruitment.

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME):
The WARF is accepting applications from nationally certified Fitness Instructors for the Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility to teach a variety of fitness classes such as cycle, Pilates, ZumbaTM, yoga and water and land aerobics.  Must be CPR and First Aid certified and able to interact with a wide variety of personalities. Hourly rate $15.00 - $25.00 per hour DOQ.  Ongoing recruitment.

FRONT DESK ATTENDANT (PART-TIME):
The WARF is accepting applications for part-time Front Desk Attendants.  You must be customer service oriented and possess basic computer skills.  Evening and weekend availability is a must.  Position is part-time, approximately 15-25 hours per week.  Starting rate of pay is $9.00 per hour.  You must be 18 years or older.  A Town of Warrenton application is required. VOLUNTEER (PART-TIME):
Receive a free WARF membership by volunteering in our child care center or by volunteering for maintenance duties for as little as 2 hours per week.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.  Background check required.
