The Finance and Human Resources Department provides administrative support services to the citizens of Warrenton with a staff of six full-time employees. The department serves as a first contact general information center for all Town departments.
The department's primary focus is on the day to day financial and human resource functions of the Town government. The department processes a variety of tax bills, water bills, vehicle decal registrations, business license applications and bills, and collects payment for these items.
The Town currently accepts on-line payments for personal property, real estate taxes, business license renewals, utility bills, parking tickets, and motor vehicle decal renewal applications. These payments are currently accepted by e-check of your credit card via a secure server. There are no user or convenience fees charged for these services. Pay Taxes and Bills.
The department handles the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as well as all payroll and human resource functions. Water and sewer billing changes, cut offs/on, and connections are also handled by the Finance Department.
The Cemetery located on Keith Street is maintained by the Town. All interment records and burial information is maintained by the Finance Department and are kept at Town Hall. The Finance staff is currently working on entering cemetery owner and interment information into an easily searchable automated database.
