Because of the nature of law enforcement, we understand that citizens on occasion may object to the actions of the police, or may feel their conduct is inappropriate. Therefore, we have established procedures for citizens to report their concerns to the Department.

The Warrenton Police Department will investigate any allegation of misconduct against any of its members upon receipt of a Citizen Complaint Form. This form is a necessary prerequisite to the investigation of a complaint alleging misconduct. The Department does not condone misconduct by any of its members and will take appropriate action against any members found to be guilty of such misconduct. This completed form should be mailed to the address above or delivered in person during business hours.

NOTE: Any false or misleading statements, accusations, or allegations made against an employee in relation to a complaint, either orally or in writing, to any person or persons investigating a complaint, may subject the complainant to a civil suit and/or criminal prosecution.
