Water Filtration Plant: Built in 1983 with a 2.0 MGD (million gallons per day) capacity. Filtering rate at 2.0 g/m/ft2. Granular Activated Carbon for taste and odor control.
Upgraded in 2005 to 2.4 MGD capacity.
Upgraded in 2011 to 3.2 MGD capacity. Limited by the 2.3 MGD Safe Yield of the reservoirs, but enables the plant to function at high level during emergencies and to keep staffing levels down with future growth.
Warrenton Reservoir: Built in 1965 and raised 4 feet in 1981. Storage capacity 124 MG and covers a surface area of approximately 380 acre feet (46 acres). The drainage area of the reservoir is 12.3 square miles, which provides a safe yield of 1.14 MGD.
Airlie Reservoir: Built in 1993. Storage capacity 260 MG and covers a surface area of approximately 792 acre feet (55 acres). The drainage area of the reservoir is 3.53 square miles, which provides a safe yield of 1.16 MGD.
2.0 MG Storage: Two water storage tanks, one just off Bear Wallow Drive holds 1.5 Million Gallons and the other tank is an elevated tank at Fourth and Horner Streets which holds 0.5 MG.
