As part of the Town of Warrenton's education and outreach program for the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit, the Town seeks volunteers (individuals, groups or organizations) to participate in an Adopt a Stream program modeled after the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) stream program.

The program is designed to bring participation in clean water endeavors to a community and personal level by asking citizens to become actively involved in protecting our water resources.

The program consists of a minimum of two (2) stream clean-ups per year. The Town will provide clean up supplies and signs to designate adopted areas.

On Saturday, April 8, 2017, the staff and families of Bohler Engineering participated in a stream clean-up on Lee Hwy. at Blackwell Road. Bohler Engineering is the first local business to participate in the Adopt a Stream Program.
