Recruiting Flyer for the Police DepartmentThe selection process takes approximately two to four months after the initial Police Officer application has been received. Applicants must successfully complete the following phases:

  • Online application submission
  • Written examination
  • Physical fitness test
  • Panel interview
  • Chief of Police review
  • Polygraph examination
  • Background investigation
  • Physical examination
  • Psychological examination
  • Final approval by Chief of Police

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be 21 years of age upon completion of the Criminal Justice Academy
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license at the time of appointment
  • Must not have been convicted of any felony or serious misdemeanor
