Street Closures for Thursday, July 30, 2020:
Horner Street - Columbia Gas  will have Horner Street closed between N. 3rd Street and N.4th Street for some line repair. The work will begin around 9:00 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 5:00 p.m. Signage will be in place for traffic control. Please use caution in this area.

First Street at Main Street is closed. New as of today, Second Street is closed from 11 Second Street (Sibby's) to Main Street. Traffic will no longer be able to turn onto Second Street from Main Street. Please use extra caution in this area.



Leap Year .5k Race - February 29, 2020  2:29 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - CANCELLED
Experience Old Town Warrenton and the Town of Warrenton's Parks and Recreation Department are sponsoring a .5K to be scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020. The .5K will begin at 2:29 p.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m. The .5K will begin and end on Main Street and be run between Court Street and Fifth Street. An eight ounce cup of beer will be served in two places along the course, as well as milkshakes and treats. The event is expected to attract approximately 100 participants and an unknown number of spectators. The event will require Main Street to be closed from Court Street to Fifth Street until the conclusion of the race. Alexandria Pike, Winchester Street, and Waterloo Street will be open where they intersect at Courthouse Square to allow for traffic flow to and from those same streets. Road closures will be in place by 1:00 p.m. to accommodate setup time for the event.



Molly's 5k - March 29, 2020  8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - CANCELLED
Molly’s Irish Pub is sponsoring a 5K Run that is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2020. The 5K Run will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 10:00 a.m. The participants will proceed east on Main Street, continue onto Falmouth Street, then turn right onto the Warrenton Greenway and follow a designated course in and around Old Town Warrenton. The event attracts approximately 300 participants, including children and dogs, and 100 spectators. The event will require Main Street to be closed to vehicular traffic from Ashby Street to Third Street until the conclusion of the race. The closed streets will be reopened at approximately 10:00 a.m. at the discretion of police personnel.
